Thanks, Fred, for the info and the link -- I have been a huge fan of John Mayer, and all without knowing about his admiration for things Sting and Police. What great recordings these are! Anyone who hasn't heard him should give him a listen; he has great chordings and lyrics, sung with much feeling! Worth buying his cd. (Obviously influenced by the bestt! :) Michelle Manoni Troy, Michigan In a message dated 7/26/02 12:44:42 AM Eastern Daylight Time, fredberthelot@earthlink.net writes:
I have just added an excellent live recording of Tea In The Sahara by John Mayer on

John Mayer is obviously a huge Police fan -- not only does he cover Message in a Bottle and Tea in The Sahara, he also references Wrapped Around Your Finger in his song "83" and last week, he performed live in Central Park and started 83 with the first verse of King Of Pain, and ended the song with Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! Two 1983 songs to bookend 83!
Hope you enjoy this version -- it's a good one.
