I'll give you that -- it is common that tenors tend to "over-pitch", and I think it is something that Sting does on occasion. But it is much easier to listen to the "over-pitch" than to listen to the flat singing, and he is correct to sing 'higher' than needed. If you are singer (which I am) the one thing we know is that we almost never sing a perfect song. For goodness sake, a sound engineer? Nothing is ever perfect, is it?? And I mean that in the nicest way, since we as singers want someone on the other end to help us sound more perfect than we are. :) Michelle ----- Original Message ----- From: DtmrCls@aol.com To: police@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Monday, February 12, 2007 9:15 AM Subject: Re: [Police] Who Yelled the Police Are Back?! hi But I have a great ear, and sorry, dietmar, tend to disagree !! you may but I've also got a good ear - used to be sound engineer for a band sting didn't hit all the notes, sometimes he "pitched" a bit over the ones he wanted to reach... depends on each individual's reception dietmar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Police mailing list Police@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/police
