Who's whining? If I've suffered fraud ... that's my problem. I'm just trying to find out one way or another as soon as possible. I think many people made a decision about whether they should join the club. I know I did ... I decided not to. It didn't seem worth it to me, no matter how badly I would like to be at the Paris show (or gain access to prime local tickets). All I want is tickets, I'm not interested in a CD, or downloadable wallpaper or pictures. The sole value of the club to me would have been the tickets. Anyways. I have done some digging and it seems that one of LPVisions projects is an online community networking company named ultrastar. If that sounds familiar it's because they are the ones doing all the clearing of the sting.com memberships. So that fact alone has alleviated my concern. But I'm still eagerly hoping for concrete info from Tina or reassurance from anyone on the list. Best regards, Mark. On Thu, Sep 04, 2003 at 07:04:29PM -0500, Jeremy (Cheekyguides) wrote:
Why is that someone is always whining about this stuff. The fanclub offered you tickets first, and joining the fanclub gets you more than just access to the Paris show, so stop complaining as if all you get from the fanclub is Paris tickets.
People, if you do not support the fanclub, and ticket sales are low for Paris, then the allocation for tickets for other shows will end up lower. If it were not for the fanclub, most of you wouldn't even have a chance to get into Paris...

I'll bet that most people were hoping that the ebay issue was over.
I just got an email from EBay that indicates they are investigating the auctions. It seems that there is at least a chance that they were fraudulent.
Does anybody have any more info?
I remember one post to the list that indicated they had spoken with Tina who had at least inferentially legitimized the auctions by commenting on them.
But of course that post might have been fraud as well.
The payee is a company named LP Visions Inc.
I sent an email to Tina, but if someone here knows the auctions were real or fake, I'd love to know. I'm sure that the response would be quicker.
Thanks, Mark.
