Yes, after a brief but semi-forced hiatus, I've finally found the xmission link to resubscribe under my new email address... and consequently, getting up off my lazy ass to do such. :) Since I got a real job in NYC several months ago, I stopped reading email at my old school account (which will probably be killed in the near future as it stands since I graduated *and* no longer work for them) because of the constant bombardment of spam mail that gets sent there. NO, I do NOT want nor need the following from these people: - more credit cards - a new cell phone - hair growth products - a free trip to Florida (if I decide to sit through their timeshare crap) - Viagra - to refinance my home - 1001 porn sites Thanks to Hotmail, I can filter out about 98% of this stuff and delete it with the click of a button, leaving the good mail to read. OK, so a lot of this is old stuff, I know, but... - Vegas show in December: Fn rocked. I wish I got the chance to go to the Beacon show a couple of weeks beforehand but this made up for it... except not being able to hear "The Bed's Too Big Without You." Ah well, c'est la vie. - Fragile remix (the DJ Monk one, not the album version): Could be better, but not all that bad. Still trying to track down the other remix promo. (if it wasn't an import, I would ask some co-workers to get it for me through the A&M people they are in contact with) - Found the SNL Music Performances Vol. 1 CD on ebay cheap the other day. I never bought it when it was in print (because I didn't want a lot of the other stuff at the time), but now appreciate some of the stuff on there. Great version of "Faith" on it back from 93, nearly sounds exactly like the album version. Still need to find "Dolphins" cheap. (no, Andrea, I *still* don't have it...) - Chris Botti show at the Bottom Line: Excellent. I wish I stayed for both sets, but I had a wedding to go to the following day... Andrea and Fred both told me that I should have stayed no matter what, but when you need to make the train home sometimes that's a little difficult. I was laughing my ass off when Chris remarked about how he was touring with Sting for 2 years, at which point Andrea let out an unrestrained "Wooooo!!", to which Chris answered, "Yeah, how many Sting shows have YOU been to?" :p For those of you who may have remembered it, I'm looking for a new home for my "Another Day" rarities homepage; it has been "temporarily" offline for a couple of months now. If anyone can recommend any decent domains (free preferably, with minimal banner ad garbage), please drop me an email. In the meantime, I highly recommend going to Fabien's page (http://www.outofprint.fr.st) ... besides, it's much much better than mine! He updates his more than once a month. :) (Fabien, I got your survey email - remind me to fill it out the next time I get home from work and am still awake...) Now for some useless shout-outs to people I've lost touch with before I get back to work... Doreen, Sue, and the other one from LI whose name I always forget (sorry)... it was good to see you guys again at the Bottom Line that night (even though I had to jet like practically right after the show)! Sophia - Ti kanes! To the European connection (Toni, Fabien, Lydia, LBB) - now that I have a real job, I'll be joining Fred and Andrea the next time they head out there, maybe for Montreaux this summer! James "Fanatic" Norman - answer your phone one of these days... :p Jebs - mesmerized by blackjack yet? Let me know the next time you guys will be back in town. Dawn - (see James Norman) Michelle from across town - what's up! Our new traffic cloverleaf better be worth it... Manassy - if you're reading this, drop me an email... has to do w/the show tonight. Very important... use my work address. Fred - (see James Norman) :p To anyone I may have forgotten, drop me a line and give me crap for not remembering you. :) Back to work I go... peace steve _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
