He does it again! I'm so proud of him! I think it's great that he's going to sing fragile at the olympics and it's very fitting. But concerning the war, am I the only person who is tired of the subject? He should leave it alone, talk about something else. What's with the Golden Globe joke..

Maybe it is just me, but Stings winning of the Golden Globe for Until seems like a fix to me. I am sorry, I have been a fan for a long long long long time as most of you know, and he keeps winning awards for songs that even most of the hard core fans don't know, which means that the majority of the world doesn't have a clue at all. It is a known thing in the UK music industry.. (home of the one-hit-wonder-per-week) that they just make you number one, and then sell a ton of cd's on the back of it being number one. Elton John has said that his recent album will be his last works due to the pathetic nature of the industry and its constant 13 year old target market abuse. Is this award given under the same circumstances ?, I remember when he won for the Disney thing, I thought to myself, while this is an OK song at best, it isnt worthy of being the best song in a movie for the year, it has now happened with a few other things, and I can't help but feel that it is a little odd. Some sad news..

People, Some sad news. I don't usually pass on news like this, but sometimes we need to pause and remember what life's all about... There has been a great loss recently in the entertainment world. The wonderful Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote the "Hokey Pokey", died last week at 83. The most traumatic part for the family was getting him in the coffin. They put his left leg in, and things just started to go downhill from there............ (just some fun ..thought you guys might like it... Jason from Ireland)

Sting, Dixie Chicks, LeAnn Rimes to perform in opening ceremony Jan. 21, 2002 SportsLine.com wire reports SALT LAKE CITY -- Sting will share the same stage with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the opening ceremony of the Salt Lake City Olympics. The Feb. 8 event also will feature the Dixie Chicks, country singer LeAnn Rimes, former member of "The Band" Robbie Robertson, and Rita Coolidge. Other performers will be cellist Yo-Yo Ma, the six-man a cappella group Eclipse and Utah's Deseret String Band, which played cowboy tunes at the 1998 Nagano Games. Some of the artists already have held rehearsals with the 320-member Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Utah Symphony, Sting's role was disclosed Sunday as he won the Golden Globe movie song category for a romantic waltz in the comedy "Kate & Leopold." After selling 44,000 tickets to the opening ceremony, Olympic organizers have only 450 tickets left. Organizers intend to shut down their eBay Internet auction of prime tickets on Thursday. Salt Lake organizers were the first to sell their own Olympic tickets this way, and they raised more than $1 million selling 1,000 pairs of tickets on eBay. Now only 48 pairs of tickets remain on eBay's auction, including those for prime events such as men's gold medal hockey; the U.S. vs. Russia game; men's freestyle aerials and some figure skating.
