GET ME THE POLICE - THE DVD

Hi everybody from Giovanni in Milano. I guess most of you know what is the GET ME THE POLICE video recording; it was edited in 1985/1986 and gathered images of many (if not every) Police recording, including some Sting solo early recordings taken from THE DREAM OF THE BLUE TURTLES. Now, I have never seen a kinda sequel of that recording; 24 years later wouldn't it be about time to edit a new version of GET ME THE POLICE with all the stuff released in so many years? The Police would be anyway the subject, I would not include anything out of the band, no solo recordings, no relative projects, etcc...just THE POLICE. By now it would be interesting to know if you would agree (please, forward this message to the ones not included in this list); I will send the same message on my StewartCopeland.net message board at the forum, and I just sent it to a Police collectors mailing list. Is there anybody out there who could work as a main point of reference to whom we can send our stuff? The good thing could be that each one of us, main collectors since the dinosaurs era as well as the later involved collectors, could film their precious records with a simple handy videocamera; if you saw GET ME THE POLICE, you know what I mean. It's too early to talk about the way to film our stuff (it would be good to use one single way to film in order to create something coherent); I just need if there are some other crazy people out there that would recreate something that when I got it in my hands for the first time I felt in heaven! GET ME THE POLICE lasted something like 2 hrs...this new one could even be a 2-dvd set!!! Get back to me with your ideas; with all these social network sites, we can also have one common place to coordinate (facebook for example). Giovanni

I found on the Listing forum a link to download a project with Andy , Jack Bruce and Dennis Chambers. Jack Bruce With Hotflash Andy Summers Dennis Chambers 01-Blind world 02-Yet the birds 03-Holy terror 04-Laughter in the rain Jack Bruce (bass, voc.) Andy Summers (gtr.voc.) Dennis Chambers (drs. voc.) Never heard of these ' demos' , I knew Andy was to work with Jack Bruce, but this was never confirmed. By listening to these tunes I am not sure this is really Andy playing .... I am quite doubtfull. Andy had played in Hamburg in 2001 if I remember with Denis Chambers anyway... Rock Hall mystery!!

Hi Guys, I miss you!! The little flurry of activity lately has warmed my heart! So here's something for discussion: We were at the Rock Hall this past week, and we were going through the exhibit where they have the instruments set up alongside mannequins wearing? clothing or costumes that belonged to the band in question. They had a Police exhibit once, but they rotate the groups through. Anyway, in the spot where the Police used to be is now ZZ Top, and they have their instruments, including their drummer's furry drum kit. However, I would swear that the picture on the wall behind ZZ Top's drums is Stew!! Anyone near the Cleveland area, I invite you to check it out and let me know if I'm hallucinating Police pix! Have a great week! Holly PS: Speaking of the Rock Hall, does Sting go in as a solo act next year or in 2011? The induction is in Cleveland this year, btw. If they decide to keep it there, I might actually be able to go when he does get in! So... now what?

As spring approaches I can't help but begin to turn my attention to the future. The Police reunion that had us jumping up and down and screaming like little girls (or was it just me?) in January of 2007 has been sealed in the history books. So what is happening now? I'm sure that Stew, Andy, and Sting are all moving on to other projects. What are they? Does anyone (Giovanni? Dietmar?) have any ideas for us? Is there other Police news? Or is this just the end? No more Sting, Andy, or Stew. They're just calling it quits to relax in their palatial estates? I hope you're all well, David
