Fan Club Tickets - Toronto

Hi, an old, old member of the list who's come and gone at least a couple of times and has been lurking for the past few weeks. Just wanted to know that even with the ticket controversy I was able to get my code and 2 tickets for the Toronto show... Section 110, which is stage right, 20 rows up or so... should make for great sight lines. Do I even have to mention how psyched I am. Hey Bruce... shall we call it the Police Picnic 2007? First -- HUGE thanks go to Tim Enders for giving me the Best Buy code! So, here's my story... At Ticketmaster, I was pressing the refresh button every two seconds from 11:57 onward, and precisely at noon, the "Buy Tickets" link appeared. I pressed the link for New York, August 3rd, requested two tickets, and then it starts with: "Your waiting time is approximately 2 minutes" then, a few seconds later, "Your waiting time is approximately 3 minutes". Uh-oh, I thought. Then, after about a minute, "Your waiting time is approximately 7 minutes". Ugh, I thought. Finally, after about 5 minutes total waiting, the screen changed. "There are no tickets available." NOOOOOOO! Well, I better try again. Same situation... I waited about 3 minutes, and then, "There are no tickets available." Grim determination... I'll try one more time. Waited a few minutes, and then... "There are no tickets available." Sadly, I almost gave up, but then I thought, perhaps there are single tickets left. Good news on police fan club presales

>From thepolicetour.com presale message board: Hi All, We've been reading your complaints and comments and have been busy behind the scenes trying to come up with a solution that would benefit everyone. This week Ticketmaster bundle sales will start on Thursday at noon local time, 24 hours after existing Fan Club members have their chance. With this being said, anyone who has received a refund will need to come back and join if they want access to the first presale window. Anyone who has requested a refund will receive an email from us with these new details. I would also like to explain the original intent of the Ticketmaster bundle presales so you may have better understanding of where we are coming from. It's important for everyone to note that by joining this fan club doesn't guarantee you seats. Although we have plenty of great seats available in all price levels during the presale, it would be unfair and unrealistic for us to promise that everyone will receive tickets, especially for a tour with this much magnitude. If you are joining the fan club just for tickets it's a gamble, so the idea behind the bundle is to allow fans to see what tickets are available BEFORE they pay for their membership. It's sort of the risk free way to join. We tried to make this a clear choice before you joined the site with our messaging. The simple reasoning behind the bundle method was just another option to buy tickets which we thought was fan friendly, however there were legitimate concerns that surfaced after the fact and we did our best to address them. Anyway, we hope this is a step in the right direction. Please stayed tuned for future details on how the Ticketmaster bundle option will evolve for future presales. Good luck everyone! so a ton of tickets are on ebay already and none are under a grand for a pair, some are at three and four grand! the whole sale/presale/members only sale/scalper scum only sale thing is one big convoluted mess. just as far as tickets for NY, boston, or montreal? can anyone sum it all up? are they already sold out? wtf at this rate it may be cheaper to buy flights and hotels to japan from the east coast and get some tickets off a scalper on the way into the arena - than to go five blocks in the US for a show. t

Hey, I'm trying to go to the DC show! I'm falling apart with anxiety over the ticket situation.
