Sting, although he may have some input, doesn't have the final say in what is to be released where - it's based on the different worldwide offices of Universal Music. If Sting is really for global unity, then why does he release different versions of the same CD in various parts of the world? He obviously doesn't practice what he preaches. I was able to get two tickets this morning. I didn't get the e-mail telling us they were available and am thankful another list member emailed me to let me know. One ticket is promised to her, and if I can't get there (ogre locking me in the house), then mine may be up for grabs if she doesn't want the other one. I can't believe they sold out that quickly to just list members while Paris was scraping for people. Did anyone on the list get tickets via the fan club? I was unable to get online until now (out of town without internet) and just found out now that they had already sold out of all of the tickets for NYC. After having the Paris show hyped for weeks, we had little (no) advance notice as to when the tickets for NYC were going to be made available. I might have been able to work something out if I had known when the tickets were going on sale. I wonder how many tickets they had for sale? Sting.com must have had a small allotment of tickets for them to sell out in 24 hours. But not to worry -- the Hammerstein is a rather large ballroom, and there are no seats, so you don't have to worry about getting cheap seats. All you have to do is get there early! I'm sure everyone will be able to get tickets when they go on sale to the general public. Hello everybody from giovanni in Milano. Lydia and I could get our copy of the record today (European version - limited). What can I say; I have heard it three times now and I can tell it's a great record once again! The first three tracks worth the cost of the whole record!!! These are three great songs, a higher level than the rest of the record, but this is just an early listening response. I could hear a 'new Bring On The Night live' as track 5 'Never Coming Home', with the same kind of arpeggio on the guitar that is on the original version of Bring On The Night, and the same kind of jazz improvisation of Bring On The Night Live towards the end of the song, then it fades out! I bet he will do 'Never Coming Home/Bring On The Night' live .... let's see....and by the way, it's about time he gives up playing Bring On The Night the way he does since 1985. Now I am at track 6...but personally I don't feel this phil-collins-pop-oldskool-style suits me that much...we'll hear it live...maybe... See you in Paris. Ciao ciao Giovanni
