Yeah, this list is pretty dead, so i thought i'd pop in sth as a treat for everyone that's been worrying me for some time: Lyrics to "Illuminate"! I couldn't figure out Dave's sloppy singing, so i searched on the web, and it took some time using the lyrics that i could gather, but i found it: http://www.sgnproductions.com/sotn/2002_Jan.htm Orbital - The Altogether - Disk 2 - 10 - Illuminate [feat. David Gray] (5:31) "Paint the world anew Find a way to open all the joy in order to Illuminate the strain Fireworks in the blue B'yond the burstin' endless shine Show me where the real light is Buildin' a wall inside Wall round my heart Buildin' a wall inside Yeah" "B'yond the burstin' endless shine" - yeah right! >:-) /me starts to hate native togues! ;-) Regards, DeeKay P.S.: Mike Henderson, Robert Schultz, Steve and all the rest: Hi, how are you guys? ;-)
Hey there DeeKay! Yeah, I think most of us are here, but all the "action" has moved to the message boards on Loopz, methinks. Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to log in there... One thing I miss is hearing any live recordings! The newest one I have is from 2001, so I'm sure their setlist and song mixes have updated some since then? Mike
Oh what, no Hi to me? :) Thanks for the lyrics, I know I had seen them a long time ago but I couldn't remember any of them except the chorus. Marc, anxiously awaiting XXX (coming out within a couple weeks)
It would be great to share live files!! I have a live audio/video link from a concert a couple of months ago. I'll try and post the link when I get back home (hope it's still up - If not I could upload the file (it's about 80 megs) to an ftp site if we have one). BTW I got this link combing through loopz' bboard awhile back but it would be nice if we could compile all of the stuff we've come across. Shaun
I think there's a live FTP site out there, but we're just not "l33t" enough to have access... I'd be OK with putting up a live FTP server. Not sure how the Hartnoll's feel about it, but... The video used to be at <http://195.92.255.199/glastonbury/ondemand/high/orbital.wmv> but it looks like it's not there anymore. If anyone has about 75 megs of space on an FTP site maybe I can try and upload it. Who is in the 'l33t' crew? Are they hardcore Orbital fans or one of those audio ripping crews? I assume the Hartnoll's are ok with this webcast since they probably needed to give permission before it was released to the web. But I'm not sure if they knew people could copy it to the hard drives. Shaun

Actually, that link seems to be working OK... but I can't seem to download it as a file. Anyway, if you already have it that's great. As I mentioned, I'll try to get an FTP site up this weekend for our use and abuse for live stuff.

No no... nothing really formal. I just know they kept it pretty quiet so as not to overwhelm the server with leeches. Mike
I can't remember if I replied to this yet but look for a program called ASFRecorder. It lets you record some (not all) asf files and the Orbital concert seemed to work. The only downside is you have to wait in realtime to download it so it will take you over 1 and a half hours to get it but it's worth it! Also a program Streambox VCR lets you record some (not all) real audio files that comes in handy too. Sometimes these two programs work better in Win98 and finding them should be easy if you search on google or something like that. If an FTP site becomes available I can upload this stuff. <http://195.92.255.199/glastonbury/ondemand/high/orbital.wmv> is the concert in case it still works and someone missed it. Shaun
