Groovetech post Thursday Teatime May 8th - track ID
Hey, I've been listening to this excellent set... Good stuff. Glad they got rid of the video component for this set, as I find the audio tends to be lacking when that happens. There's this song that's been stuck in my head for days now after listening to it, and I don't know who made it. It begins at 41m:28s into this set, and sounds disco-ish, and sounds like some French lads singing. Can anyone identify it? Can you Adam'n'Eve* it, Groovetech have actually archived another of Alex's Teatime sessions, the one from 8 May. http://www.groovetech.com/PhoenixData/SilverStream/Pages/srvltRecMed?Recorde dMediaID=97083 Now form an orderly queue, don't all rush at once... And it's even in 44K audio only stream so no vid eating up that aural bandwidth 8) What I want to know is why his sets have recently been reduced from 3 hours to now 2 hours 8( Me, I don't get back from work until 5:30 most days so recently I've missed loads. Is there anyone out there who actually records these sets live and has some which aren't in the Groovetech archive? It's too bad they didn't decide to get rid of the video and compensate the audio quality. I never really watched it anyway and bumping that kpbs up notch or two would be great. I don't know what the name of that track is. How about the track around 22 minutes? -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Rob_King Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2003 1:36 PM To: 'What were the skies like when you were young?' I know exactly what you mean. That track at 42m has been bugging me all week. My girlfriend recognises it but can't name it, my ex has never heard it and everyone else just thinks I am nuts (probably true) and I can't get it out of my head. BTW - sounds German to me, not French. Help someone. Overall tho an absolutely cracking set. He also put this on toward the end of the January 16th (2003) set and promised to bring in the English version next time. I think it's German. Also -- from January 16th can someone tell me what part of that set os Custerd, which at a certain point he says is coming up? Is it only one song that he played, from the limited edition release? thx, michael --- "billy.b" <billy.b@virgin.net> wrote:
