i rip everything at 320 kps MP3. but the new version of traktor supports AAC files now, and may switch to that in the near future. as far as flac goes, i'm interested in the format, but am still 'married' to my player applications (traktor, itunes, ipod, abelton) and will probably wait until flac picks up more steam. - xenlab On 7/20/05, John Goerner <johng@gandm.com> wrote:

Shit, I misread your email. I thought you were trying to distinguish between lossy or lossless.

You can drag the files into mkwACT and it will expand them into wav and tell you the bit rate the original file was.....but those other suggestions seem much easier.

I wish there were more orb shows in a lossless format - I'm not a fan of

mp3s at all.

How do you tell what kbps your mp3's are? For example, I get a few things from DC++. Is there a way to tell whether an mp3 file is 192kbps or 160kbps?
