Last Friday, I was surprised to find in a Parisian store a German Import from the Orb : The Dream. It's supposed to be the same cd as the forthcoming UK Edition. The German label is Edel (Stereo Deluxe) The album grows on me. I had the Japanese edition on mp3 and I was a little bit disappointed (the bonus track is IMHO awful) : I'll buy it anyway when I'll find it in Paris. But listening to the Dream on cd is a very good experience. On Itunes France, The Vuja De remixes are available but they are hidden, as they are available on the Itunes Dream album. But you can buy them separately. One problem : the Living City remix available on the promo cd isn't there. Guess I'm gonna have to find a copy somewhere in the net... Does anyone know is the Vuja De cd single will be released someday officially ? JC

I can see where mp3 (which sucks anyway) would be particularly lacking on this CD - the mastering/production is beyond excellent. The higher-fi setup you can hear it on, the more is revealed - I continue to be impressed by how well they did this one. Also, I disagree on the bonus track - slightly cheesy maybe, but I quite like it - similar to Rush's "The Spirit of Radio," you can largely ignore the lyrics and hear what the artist is all about.... Yeah - I have to admit. I'm warming up to 'The Dream' and the promo CD mixes. I picked up the Japanese CD when it came out and was also impressed with the production. There's a different spirit in this work. On Feb 18, 2008 2:27 PM, Tim C <timc_orb@comcast.net> wrote:

So would someone venture to say The Dream is worth owning twice? I got the Japanese one and I quite like it-certainly their best in a few years. Codes and The Dream are especially good-also Dirty Disco (not the tune itself, but just the idea that the Orb would release a disco song just to through everybody off...) I will probably get the UK release as well either way...hey, I have both Bikes & Trikes, so why not this one? Dave in T.O.
