It's like when you wake yourself up from a quick deep sleep, a fantastic dream & focusing eyes are all watery, adjusting to the darkness & you'd swear you just saw a spirit in the room wth you, you with me? ... just happened & went from one of me best weeks ever into the end of this one here. I really feel like typing more than these words because one can't even describe the loss that is hurting but here goes anyway. I vividly remember buying the unique 'Orbvs T.' on cassette & knowing full well that this was masterly engineered with a longer proper time format than any other or future Orb releases. That was right with me nonstop 'round when the open air headphones started to become the norm. I had those two on for an entire month AND with my ticket in my pocket until that very South Beach Miami FL venhue on Collins St set me on an ultra ramp. Right off right centre stage after le gran Orb's set was complete Andy & I could have been seen mash up moshing skanking to some other night dj's high energy techno & it was as if we could have started ourselves off into the night or lead a quiet riot or something... before that I think the only other artist I was into that danced with me was Gregory Issacs & was merely my first one of many more future Orbful moments ...maybe because out of the grunge of cyber feedback unto more than harmonious sequencer samples after grunge, Andy Hughes flourishes on & beget strong rythmic roots of The Orb tree & dubbed himself out. I knew I liked this one better & I'm from near Orlando. miss the guy tons respectfully, Jo'Seppe
