The American Civil Liberties Union isn't the government... I don't think. Frighteningly enough I did get an unexpected e-mail from the Department of Homeland Security (Formerly known as the KGB or SS) after writing to the Justice Department about the Patriot Act. That was very unsettling especially as it did not reference anything else.
