Hey, is there any good bands on this label anymore. I was on their website and only new Red Snapper but nobody on here ever comments on whether or not they like them. I don't know anymore of the bands. They have like Mission of Burma? and some band Seachange with a funny picture http://www.matadorrecords.com/images/news/greatest_photo_on_earth.jpg but I don't know if any are good. I have heard of Mogwai, just noise rock right? Help me with new music, you all bitch about off topic, so lets talk some music here. _________________________________________________________________ Persistent heartburn? Mogwai is fantastic. Not noise rock at all. They do noise of course, but they also do beautiful passages as well. I think the last time I saw them explains it perfectly: My friend and I walked into the club they were playing at. The bar is off the main floor and you can't see what's happening at all from there. We didn't hear any music. We didn't see anyone. We were starting to think we fucked up the time or something. We mosey on over to the door that leads to the concert area and we look in. Shit, the place was packed, but very quite, and mogwai was on stage playing very nice and pretty and ambient. Two seconds later they blew my eardrums with the loudest blast of noise i've heard in ages. We rocked out for a while. Then they got all quite again and did some more pretty stuff. i'd highly recommend them. their new album is really good. the best thing they've done though (IMHO) is a 20min single called "My Father My King." Takes the best of both worlds and smashes em toghether. c __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - File online by April 15th http://taxes.yahoo.com/filing.html

I first saw them in 99 by the reccomendation of a friend. Glad I brought ear plugs! I've seen them in Chicago every time since - they are honestly one of the most unique and beautiful ensembles I've experienced live. oh and they'll be at COACHELLA too! on Sunday. If you like these guys, you must check out Mono (from Japan). Another amazing band with the same artistic briliance and the ability to go from silence to 130 dB in 2.4 seconds... Vroom! Pizzacato Five. cute, bubblegum rock by Japaneese guys and girls with excellent use of technology. Think of James Bond soundtrack on E. Gavin __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - File online by April 15th http://taxes.yahoo.com/filing.html
