Hypothetical Question: (sorry I have always had krap spelling + chitty nonexistant aol online spell check). Yes, mr Z you are probably correct - even though I made no money on this, he will probably be pissed. I do feel that Thrash has benefited from this though, via enquiries from listeners. I looked to purchase this track then (and now) and the only time I found it was long after most of the CDR's had been given away (it's on "voyage into paradise" www.liquidsounddesign.com = still selling). I did purchased "voyage", as I do with 90% of the music I hear and like. Still feel that MP3's do not have the quality that CD's have, so purchase CD's anyway. I'm sure many others do this. If you look at Thash's excellent website you will see that he too has music from recently released musicians (Thomas F?). {By the way Thrash I was unable to open up "Alice in Wonderland". I have visions of Alice, a sexy caterpiller and father william, and hoped to sample the talking book). I have decided to compensate Thrash for the theft, I will make a donation to him. It will be dependant on the number of copies(including downloads) given away and the % time his track takes up in the whole album. Thrash: Please send me a P.O. Mailing Box Number (offlist) and you can relay the results to the list? Please do so within the next few days as I will be off for a while - stop that cheering at the back of the class. I am off on a little adventure: "imax@theorb world tour". Before I go I just wanted to say how much I enjoy this list. A bunch of sometimes sane, sometimes wierd people worldwide, with a mutual interest in let us say "music with a difference". Anyway, as I said before I heard Thrash's track and Alex's groovetech show and was inspired enough to go out and buy a software mixing programme. After alot of messing about and much to the dismay of my wife, my plagiarism has resulted in fan mail from Hungary, invitations for my "band" to play in Buffalo, to see that people had uploaded the stuff I edited onto the web as a "collaborator with Alex Paterson" (where did they get that from?), I have had invites from fans (!) (hi justina & friends) to join them to see a solar eclipse in Australia, to see komodo dragons (hi pete and buds), beers in Fulham (hi Rhonda & Nigel), to organise a virtual worldwide moon-landing (moonlight orbbery), received erbal relaxation, etc, etc,..... basically way more fun than my boring day job. Anyway, what I want to say is that, if someone as untalented as I, can do this, so can you. I suggest that everyone that plays an instrument, dj's, mixes, etc: GO FOR IT!. Don't put it off, create that new sound and I promise you you will not be disappointed. You may not become a star, but you will probably have more fun anyway.... So long, see you in the new year & thanks for all the music. cheers, bill brooks (bbroo) P.S. Thrash fundraiser: If you missed it last year, I noticed that you can still download "2001 - a space orbyssey" from: ftp://moresounds.dyndns.org/orb/ ..The best way is to search for: "LX Paterson - Bill Brooks Teatime Remixes", at SOULSEEK (www.slsk.org) Don't forget every download puts money into Thrash's pocket.. Plus: BUY ALL THRASH'S NEW RELEASES - I PROMISE THAT YOU WILL BE INSPIRED (quote from satisfied customer - bbroo) *****next stop: Live "imax@theorb Maui wowy party" (recorded in quadraphonic for YOUR listening pleasure!***hold*********** then exhale****feeling well relaxed now, bye****************
