Brixton Academy bootleg question
As we are so busy chatting these days: J I recently bought the Brixton Academy 23 October 1992 bootleg. At first glance, it looks like I received a CD-R copy of the bootleg. It's definitely not a factory pressed CD, and the label Pickwick Music is printed on the CD itself. Before I start bashing the seller, can anyone confirm/deny that my copy is a bootleg of a bootleg? Regards, Johan
Hey Johan... I think this was the first Orb boot I bought and my copy has the following on the CD: BRO Mirror Image Center Hole Records 1992 Pete aka theORBscureDDJ +play+enjoy+float+dream+ http://theorbscureddj.blogspot.com From: polar-sequence Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 12:27 AM To: What were the skies like when you were young? "Live At Brixton Academy 23 October 1992" (Centre Hole Records) It was a bootleg silver disc CD sourced from a multi-generation cassette recorded from the soundboard. Side 2 of the cassette the CD was mastered from suffered from wow distortion, and is missing the last 2 songs from the show. The 90 min cassette recording of this show has been in taper circles for a while previous to the CD pressing. There is another show form this era that was pressed to CD by 2 other bootleg labels titled "Europe 92" (Live Storm) and "Close Encounters Of The Ultraworld" (Mind The Magic) . Although the setlists are the same, this recording was of a different show, an audience-sourced cassette from the same UK tour. Although not 100% positive, I believe this recording was from 10/28/92 as that was another cassette found on tape trader lists around the same time as the Brixton cassette ( I never got my hands on this cassette) Gavin ________________________________ From: theORBscureDDJ <orbscure@hotmail.com> To: What were the skies like when you were young? <orb@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2012 1:36 PM Subject: Re: [Orb] Brixton Academy bootleg question Hey Johan...
