digging into some old records i came across 2 12" white label singles;[i've had them for about 10 yrs.] the orb-----a huge ever growing....remix[promo only] there was someone on the list inquiring about an upbeat version and this single has 2 trancy
versions..
sunelectric-o locco [revisited]parts5-6 and parts 7-8 never really read the label , always thought it was the orb [really sounds like the orb] anyways i was wondering if any of you connoisseurs of the ORB and its relatives was able to tell me if these singles are of any important significance or are they just regular. some of you on the list mentioned Lemon Jelly;quite a reasonable temporary suborbstitute .[the ep comp ] I also [reading about your live sets & mixes & remixes]went a little apeshit in trying to recover some sets i did many years ago[blueroom era] that i thought i'd give a fresh listen.if they're as good as i remember them to be , i'll share..........providing my wife buys me a new computer for xmas with sound and cd burner and all the bells and whistles that all you guys out there seem to have..i can't but have to wait.it'll make me feel like a real list-member.i have so much music to share [no mp3's--all hard [earned and paid for]copies.so let's all collectively say a little prayer for me so that my wife and santa come through this xmas.. you guys and gals out there really give me a lot of fun and info almost every day. tanx tapat [new name=niburu ispired]

Hey I have a great idea! Instead of kicking Kris Weston off the ORB mailer, why not do something about folks who come on here trying to drop virii on us?
WTF?

Michael Moore attributes the 'american way' (of violence) to fear and denial- but he stops short f making a deeper conclusion- I don't know if he realizes what he is even saying, which is that the real cause of all this is the *first amendment*!
I don't agree with that. The first amendment didn't create our culture, it merely reflects it. Moore is starting a discussion about issues that seem to be absent in the "pop" culture's dialogue. he is asking questions more than he is pointing fingers.
If I were an energetic and ambitious expert in constitional law, I would challenge the right of the corporations to get away with this, and take it to the supreme court
It's not just the corporations (that control the media) but the government also. the national terrorist alert meter or whatever its name is, is an example of this (Mooore has his own on his website michaelmoore.com)

That is true; but there is definitely a point in the film when he finally has explored and debunked the obvious possiblities as to why we have this problem ('so-called' possibilities- race, violent films, gun ownership, etc), and he asks, "So why is America so violent?" (paraphrasing). His answer, then, seems to be the media, or at least he begins to speak of the statistic ratio of media reported violent crime to actual incidents as a percentage within the overall populace. Your're right that he is trying to subvert the system that suppresses such discussion, but to me his thouhgts are conclusions which can only lead to one thing: the fact that the media makes money from scaring people (and so do gun makers, gas mask companies, etc., when in fact any one of us is 100,000 more likely to be hurt in an automobile, heart disease, or while sleeping than by a f'ing terrorist attack or black man w/ a gun).

Hi Steph,
I guess we could give it another try. But then somewhere in january/february or so cause december is way too busy.
So dutch orbies if you're interested in an evening full of Orb in the beginning of next year please contact me.
And of course if other listmembers are planning to come to Holland, you're invited too. The party will be at my house in Koog aan de Zaan (10 km from Amsterdam).

According to the Kompakt website, it's a new track by The Orb & Thomas Fehlmann. It's on the CD, not on the LP.
