For those with a scientific bent, there are three good recordings of the 17 year cycada from three different places here in Louisville. Outside of that little area I haven't heard it as intense though that's just my little realm of experience. The thunderstorm is very nice and the frozen computer program is particularly weird because just as I got my minidisc unit rolling the stuck sound shifted slightly from what it had been for several minutes.
