I cant believe Glastonbury is almost upon us once more. Its got nuff I wanna see and do, not least checking the likes of System 7, Orbital, Bays, Fila Brazilia, Mad Prof, Plaid etc. etc. etc. But yet again, where the feck are the Orb? I can think of few settings that are better placed for them, and it saddens me that Ill not be standing knee deep in the mud dancing to Towers of Dub while blinded by shroom fractals, especially when you consider what absolute classics their performances of old there were. Anyways, are any of yall going? If you dont tend to wear tie-die trowsers and Jesus sandles, Id probs be up for meeting. Peace Barry

Has anyone else noticed that 'Supernova at the end of the universe' is a vague cover of the later bit of 'Garden of Paradise' from the Steve Hillage album 'Rainbow Dome Musick'? Influence is one thing but this is just funny. :)

Probably not coincidentally, Hillage (and Giraudy) shares a writing credit on that track...

Loophead (LXD, Hillage, Giraudy) are playing in the Glade, the excellent 24 hour dance arena, and it may be that the Orb are one of the special guests still to be announced. I'm going, but don't know where or what I'll be at any particular time, so meeting up might be tricky. I'll definitely be at the Glade for Loophead, probably wearing a badorb TOG, and I'll be seeing eatstatic, banco, system7, alabama3, beta band, orbital and faithless too. maybe. If you see a skinny bloke with shaved hair in a TOG, and dilated pupils, tap me on the shoulder! j -- "A sympathetic Scot summed it all up very neatly in the remark, 'You should make a point of trying every experience once, excepting incest and folk dancing.'" - Sir Arnold Bax
Hey kids; Got the 12"s of BOB12 & BOB13 in the mail today...no sign of the BOB12 CD yet. I'm in Los Angeles. They claim two thousand copies of BOB12. (Versus 521 copies of BOB13.) No toy surprise for me; maybe with the CDs... BTW, does anyone know if the Auntie Aubrey's 1 that Badorb is pushing is the US Ultra version, or if they've (re)released a UK version? Chris np: some crap that is immanently leaving my CD collection

well, BOB13 hasn't been pressed (so they say).. still on the site.. you must have a really cool uncle!
I must... ;) But really, I have in it my hands right now. I thought we'd come to the conclusion that the whole "limited pressing to orders" thing was a load of crap. (Remember; most of the mp3s have been mastered from vinyl...) My guess is that they run 1,000 or so of each 12", and will be selling the "excess" in the forthcoming back catalog section of BadOrb.com. (Hopefully, without the Certificate of Orbthenticity...)
