Hi All, I'm new to this mailing list. I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Burt. I have been travelling on the OrbShip now since '93, when I first made a trip to Glastonbury and watched my water bottle transform into a beautiful alien ship whilst sitting on the grass listening to Blue Room (i think). The sun was just going down. When it was dark Spanish castles in Space seem to take me on a journey through history, or at least way into the past, a feeling of what it was like before the industrial revolution. I had the great pleasure of meeting The Good Doctor Lx and Thomas Fehlmann at a very small, informal DJ gig in Hong Kong in 2000. I often find myself listening to Orb music only for weeks on end, and if I haven't listened for a while, it never fails to rejuvenate me I listen again. My favourite album is UFOrb, then Ultraworld and Orblivion (not sure which way round). Cydonia took me a bit longer to get into (it's a bit more serious). But as for Bicycles and Tricycles, I'm not quite sure. There are definitely a couple of tracks I like on there, but there seems to be an over-bearing theme of evil/devil in it. Also, 'From a Distance' doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the album, although I did get the Japan release in 2003 - I think the UK release tracklist was rearranged, so maybe it flowed better then. Forget about thrash, bloody washed up junk-arsed-mofo, are you really missing his posts? He's wrecked this list with his freakish rants. -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces+orb=bc23.net@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces+orb=bc23.net@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of Mark Weston Sent: 22 March 2005 20:29 To: Orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] Hello, My name is.... Never thought his rants on here were that bad honestly (and i'm an American). I usually agree with what he says, his delivery is just a little abrupt. But all the whining on here is due to people being over sensitive more than Kris being an asshole. On Thu, 24 Mar 2005 12:33:10 +0000, Steve@Donsolaris.com <mrloosescrew@aol.com> wrote:

I've met the guy though he'll deny this of course, and back in '92 he seemed sound enough. You've got to ask yourself though, why does a man join the fan list of a band that he's no longer in due to whatever apparently nasty circumstances. And some of the utter b0ll0cks he comes out with and abusiveness is just not warranted. -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces+orb=bc23.net@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces+orb=bc23.net@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of Steve@Donsolaris.com Sent: 24 March 2005 08:10 To: What were the skies like when you were young? yea i met him too a while back, i never knew who he was at the time, but it was bloody funny to get scammed by him :-) and even funnier when he remembered, anyway yea he has a caustic sence of humor but i happen to see his point, Im not really bothered about how or why he left the band, and why he chose to come on here, the bands lack of form however after they departed ways, is quite apparant, the last 2 albums especially so. either way hes a top bloke, orb@bc23.net wrote:
