Hey Everyone - The LX gig in SF was a really good time... I saw several listees there (Hi Tim! Hi Andy!) and other Orb fanatics I've come to know through the years. He came on right around midnight, and spent 2 hours teasing a lot of Orb classics mixed with newer material. Its all a bit of a wash in my mind right now, but the Freebird-dubstyle track was in there, along with some very very old mixes from the Trippin On Sunshine era. At 2am they pulled the plug, despite him looking like he'd like to continue. (Damn laws). It did end with the entire place singing him Happy Birthday, which was a nice closer for the night. So, not exactly an Orb gig in the classic sense, but definitely the best dj gig I've heard in a while, and it will tide me over til a proper show comes around again. =) rach
