I guess I did miss your rant - I've only just joined the list, mainly in the hope of finding out that Alex would be putting on a special gig here for all his adoring fans who got truly shafted. The wife and I thought about coming into the city anyway (we live in central NJ), but we were both so depressed... I know that he's played the knitting factory (I've seen him there the last two time) and I'm hopeful he'll head there again - I personally didn't feel that his solo stuff is "crappy". I'd love to be able to get out to DEMS, but with work commitments, etc. I don't think it's going to be possible. Ken Erxleben wrote:

yeah i'm still pretty devastated

been seriously into the orb for about 5 years now and this was my first legit chance to see them. skipped the brooklyn show 2 nights earlier because it was a work night etc.

i prayed LX would be outside telling us where the gig would be moved but alas the only person there was to talk to was a f'n news reporter.

i fear i missed an ultra opportunity and that if i ever DO get to see LX it's going to be a crappy solo dj gig or something

i wanted the real deal

ach....i guess this is the price you pay when 84.2% of the music you adore comes from the UK :(
