Frighteningly enough I did get an unexpected e-mail from the Department of Homeland Security (Formerly known as the KGB or SS) after writing to the Justice Department about the Patriot Act. That was very unsettling especially as it did not reference anything else. It was sort of like, "Yeah, we know you're out there, punk."

People can extract large amounts of money from our infrastructure often using a technique know as "kiting." This is when a person from another country enters the US and, using the backing of a rich family, obtain large credit lines on their SSN#. They then proceed to purchased goods that can be shipped back in sealed cargo containers (tv's cars etc). They then mail out checks to all their creditors at the same time and zero their balance, charging up a whole new slew of items. By the time the checks all come back w/funds unavailable (this can take weeks sometimes to ascertain) they are long gone, having effectively ripped us all off for double the credit. If this can be prevented (as well as those solications from North African Royalty and such I have had as of late, since joining this list??) we could all save some $$ on intrest rates etc etc. Its all very sketchy climate right now.
