Whilst you guys appear to be frustrated
about the number of posts about RMS’s ftp, I can’t say that I find
it annoying or offensive.
Matt, what I will say is that I do find
your attitude towards RMS and the posts you make with reference to it offensive
in the extreme. There is no reason to be offensive and use the expletives you
do about this.
With regards to the technical setup of his
FTP, I am sure there are technical reasons why he has his ftp setup the way he
does and you are not necessarily in a position to judge him for that. Why are
you attempting to run a hate campaign towards a person on the net.
What I will say is that whilst the
Internet grants us all freedoms, we have a moral obligation to use that
sensibly. You do not appear to be treating this freedom of speech with the
correct amount of respect. If you want to have a flame war with someone, TAKE
IT OFF THE LIST!
PLEASE STOP POSTING SUCH AGGRESSIVE LANGUAGE!
I would like to read some if this at work but am unable to take the risk
because of your behaviour and language.

You didn't piss me off at all. Actually I thought it funny while
everyone else was thanking me for the Pomme Fritz video you saw it fit to
admonish me for "non contribution."
Simply put, RMS has stopped his annoying posts on the KLF list because
A) He can't keep up with the flurry of activity and B) Each post is accomponied
by its own link to the file in question.
My goal is to render his FTP obsolete and thus the responsorials from
you and him alike. Many people have trouble getting onto that
ancient machine, and the same amount have trouble configuring routers for
bittorent.. etc etc.
Lets make this music more accessable to the hoi polloi.

i'm stepping away from this whole issue as i need not be involved. i
would
just like to say that if you really have a problem with RMS that perhaps you
should keep it to yourself because i don't think this stuff is beneficial to
the community at all - and RMS's server IS beneficial - no matter which
angle you look at it.
Give the guy some credit for taking his time to help us all get the music we
are looking for. If you don't wish to give him credit - then deal
with it.
There are plenty here that are thankful for what he has to offer and this
whole "ego trip" thing i just don't get at all. it almost
reaks of jealousy
or something.
but either way - we're all here for one reason and we all have a common
bond. no need to muck it all up with shittalk.
sorry to piss you off matt - but hopefully you're adult enough to understand
where i'm coming from and perhaps you can real eyes that people like RMS do
not deserve your disrespect.
