It would be interesting to know if lx did the piece? Chill out came out before Live 93. I always thought that it was from a promotional speaker from NY on how to get rich, like Tim Robins.... ....And has anyone EVER figured out the source of KLF's "up and down the east coast, fat as a rat" sample? I remember doing quite an extensive search for this years ago, and came up empty-handed. Does anyone have any clues as to the source of it?
I would be willing to bet that they just simply were recording AM radio while in New York. If I'm not mistaken there is a much longer slice of the recording used in the Orb live '93 set that is on CR so LX may very well have recorded this. I've gotten some fabulous recordings of preachers this way. During my live shows I often tune an AM radio (it sounds really good with a hard flange on it) and have hit some pretty cool bits by chance. http://artists.mp3s.com/artist_song/669/669409.html http://artists.mp3s.com/artist_song/669/669497.html One of those two links prominently features religious broadcasts.
