I'm enjoying the uk b&t album..... Most loved: L.U.C.A (what's it stand for?) Most hated: Prime Evil (at 3:30 I want to kick in my stereo) Slowly growing: Aftermath, Hells Kitchen Abstractions is also brilliant. Tower 23 is great but missing something on a different level...I don't know if it's lack of textures or substance or what...Still trying to figure out where Gee Strings fits in.... The rest of the album is very listenable but I miss how an Orb album can take you on a journey from start to finish. The only two tracks that sound good back to back are Abstractions & LUCA, Compania & Dilmun. The artwork is nice too. bk on now: The Ethiopians - Reggae Hit The Town ----- Original Message ----- From: "-->rachel" <rachel@migoto.com> To: "What were the skies like when you were young?" <orb@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, May 13, 2004 10:31 AM Subject: [Orb] B&T - UK Version
So not much word from anyone about the UK Bicycles & Tricyles... I didn't find it earth-shatteringly different from the Japan release. I think I'm still diggin Prime evil and tower 23 the best. Simon's got the touch when it comes to bass, and Tower 23 has that clasic Orb In Dub sound to it...
I will admit that aftermath is growing on me, but i will never get over the mc... i wish they'd put out an instrumental version or something
Anyone else have much of a reaction? =) rachel ------------------------------------ Rachel's Orb Discography http://www.backsideoftheorb.com
