Yeah. To be honest wit ya, the recorded version of EDM is OK- I'm really just bigging up the live version, which is as firm and phat as I could ever hope for.
On a completely unrelated note- I just wanted to mention that Autechre's new Gantz Graf DVD/ EP is literally the best audio-visual work I have ever seen.
I kid you not. If you have access to a DVD player, and you do not own this, you are losing.
Coming a very clever, and close second is Funki Porchini's new album/ DVD. Forget the relatively unoriginal material of the Porchini of old. This is lush ambience, of the sort I know for a fact that should make the peeps' on this list minds dribble. You can sit there, and gorp at your early '90s 'Textures' video, but this is 2002, mo fo, and this is exactly what you bitches need.
