[Orb] OT- digital recording of vinyl

In the past I have plugged my turntable into the analog input of my pc sound card and let the pc do the digital recording. Now that I have a Stanton turntable with a built in converter with digital out, I was wondering how accurate the on-board conversion is versus using the pc. Does anyone have some feedback or advice that has used the ST.100 or similar turntable for recording their vinyl? "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Despair INC.
