<< how do i get an m4a file to work on my mac. when i upload the file, quicktime doesn't recognize it with in safari>> m4a is actually the audio portion of a MP4 video file. with Windows XP you can just rename them to MP3 instead, and they'll play fine... you can try that on your Mac, i guess, but i thought that the MP4 format was more Ma-based than Windows. maybe you just need to update Quicktime or whatever. i have been told by various folks that ITunes will rip to M4A if you don't tweak it. logically, therefore, ITunes should play such files, right? i am jus guessing here as i am not a Mac user, nor do i use ITunes. hope this helps. PJK please don't hate me because i can't type..... --- All the cool kids are doing it: HTTP://www.EvilSponge.org
