I will agree, Cydonia has it's moments Terminus and Ghost Dancing being my favorite. I guess my biggest complaint was that it felt flat. I long for the day when an _entire_ Orb release blows me away. I know it is hard to continue making great music, coming up with good ideas, etc, but the final Cydonia version sounded more like patch work than a great album release. I can't stand the Beatles. My friend, Bill, responded to this by saying, "You have never had an album experience, then." To which I responded, "I have had a full album experience...Orb" That shut him up. I guess I am just saying I know LX and co still have some great albums in them and I want to go back to being an obsessive Orb fan, but will only do so when I feel it merits it. It i should also be known that Cydonia is the only Orb release I don't like. So, I feel I am justified in saying it is not as good as the others, which it is not. np: Camping Gaz and DigiRandom - Circus World Bbbrooo@aol.com wrote:
1) >>Cydonia wasn't worth the.....>> Obviously everyone has different tastes, but I personally think "Terminus" is an orb classic?
2) I confess "I am an orbaholic". I was looking back over the the years of archives and see postings from obsessed fans. Most are no longer on the list, I was wondering what happened to them? Does anyone know a laspsed liste? - did they go mad, or did they grow up, get married, move away, do they still listen to the orb, or have their musical tastes changed,(if so to what?). Can we learn anything about our own mortality and list future from these people? Any help would be appreciated before it's too late. cheers bill
