Did anyone ever listen to the Morr Music compilation? I think it's called something like Putting the Morr back in Morrisey? good stuff. I just bought Low Flow today and am also finding it to be kind of simplistic. Nice though, but maybe best for listening to while engaged in some type of activity... I've been listening to the Kompakt 100 cds, which have some really super tracks on them, but also some dull or even unpleasant. Thanks for the other suggestions - the Rainstick Orchestra sounded a little new age in the samples on Amazon, but I do really like Steve Reich... --- JASON HICKS <ikki1@msn.com> wrote:
.+.+. Has anyone heard Fehlmann's Low Flow yet?
I found it to be quite minimal and kind of boring, I will have to give a few more spins though.
I did enjoy the new Hexstatic, and another Ninja Tune release called Rainstick Orchestra that covers Steve Reich's Electronic Counterpoint, which should sound familiar to members of this list. Loving the new DFA comp, just discovered Ulrich Schnauss' A Strangely Isolated Place and I must say it is outstanding. The new record by a dude called Chris Joss may be the best thing that ESL has ever put out, but then again I'm a Theivery Corp hater so I may be biased.
