You know, according to William Burroughs forward in "Naked Lunch" he was on a heroin binge while sick with a high fever when he wrote this book. He said he came to with a completed manuscript that he had no recollection of writing at all. John Wintemute

A tome of mindless drivel. That shit doesn't even make sense ON drugs. I can't imagine what sort of cocktail I'd have to consume in order to comprehend one paragraph of "Naked Lunch", which, I would say, is about on par with some of the ramblings of the schizophrenics on State Street in Madison, WI. And I have consumed some hefty quantities in my day.
Monkeys could probably fling poo and come up with better results than that stream of consciousness....
My 2¢,unadjusted for inflation.

That some guy named William Burroughs wrote 'The Naked Lunch' and a whole host of tripped out, drug influenced and fantastic novels. Go rent the film if you ain't seen it, best experienced a little toasted I find if you know what I mean, and tell me if you finally understand it after watching it for the umpteenth time.
