I don't think the movie made enough money for them to justify making another. Those CG movies are extremely expensive to make. The games cost less and they sell millions of copies for $50, rather than $5-$10 movie ticket price. IMO the movie was poorly written anyway, so they're better off sticking to games.
If you're going to make that argument, then why make ANY movies that cost a ton of money? Most of the very very high budget hollywood movies have nominal value beyond being an extremely saleable product, eg: all sequels in the last 10 years, most action flicks, etc. I mean, how much money was spent on titanic? We could have given that money to afghanistan :-P Personally I would rather see movie studios spend way less money on special effects and whatnot and focus on what makes movies REALLY great: character development and plot. Fuck "sheer entertainment value" and "A wild ride"-like reviews. _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
