Thanks for the news links... The first one obviously doesn't follow the Orb's music. They would have known that Mr. Glover is a founding member......... The second one is interesting for the info on the creation of the album.....also it was interesting to note that I've been watching Polly Samson's video of the Roger and David reunion. How "indie" is that? ....and the third link marcolphus shared in another email said it was going to be released via Columbia. So....an Orb album being released as a Floyd album? I'm sure Columbia has been drooling for this collaboration since the days of the "So David, why don't you make music like the Orb?" questions around the time of 'The Division Bell'. "Because The Orb make music like the Orb"....was his reply to one of those questions if I remember correctly. I need to get some more working clients.......a vinyl pressing and a 3D60 bought together won't be cheap..... Found on the net:
http://www.side-line.com/news_comments.php?id=44994_0_2_0_C "Available as a digital download, double LP and double CD, parts of "Metallic Spheres" were recorded in 3D60, which allows the listener to experience certain songs in three-dimensional sound. "
Double CD??? I think they mean regular CD and 3D60 mix CD.
And this:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/aug/19/orb-pink-floyd-david-gilmour "The 10 songs began with Gilmour alone in the studio, jamming with producer Youth. " It looks that CD will have 10, long songs... -- The Orb News ::: http://orb-news.blogspot.com
