The "stats" as quoted by the Iraqi minister of health this morning are 350 civilians dead.  Not to sound insensitive, but that's a far cry from thousands.  Make of it what you will.

Hrm, which stats are these? What is their source? At this point I would
think that any actual statistics being given by either the US side or the
Iraqi side would be inaccurate. The US side simply doesn't have enough
people on the ground in the areas in question to obtain accurate numbers.
Anyone who COULD make accurate assessments of said casulties, eg: iraqi
government members, arab TV network reporters etc, are going to give reports
which are biased.

That being said, I think it would be silly to assume that our bombs are
killing only military personal. Last time I checked, even a "smart bomb"
isn't smart enough to kill ONLY enemy troops.
