Could you people please trim all but the e-mail you're replaying to off you're replies. Jesus Christ the scrolling is getting stupid. In case you don't know how, after the relvevant part of the last post you right click and hole it down then go to the bottom of your reply and hit DELETE. Very simple. I'm not listening to shit right now as my car got broken into (literally, I need a new back window) and both my in-dash stereo and my portable mp3-cd player got ripped out. All this in broad daylight on a busy street. Motherfuckers. There goes all music purchases for the next four months. I'm so pissed I could kill you. But if you want to hear the true future you should've downloaded my latest album "The Approach of the Mysterious Voices." I don't know of anything else like it. not wanting to stop mr_fetish (sleeves rolled up ready) ......sorry not quite orb, but I just wanted to ask for a system 7 suggestion, anyone. What is a recommended track that I might have missed that shows off mr hillages fine guitar talents (I've got sunburst & a couple of their CD's but don't know what to get next? I'm looking for some soaring and general interstellar acrobatics? (either on or off list - many thanks) thanks, bill (please feel free to share any of my stuff, cos it's already stolen) brooks P.S: been asked a couple times recently about "mix blockage". One thing I suggest is to put your key "track name" into a P2P search. Then modify, sample and mix a selection of what comes in. Eg: "orb" recently produced a nice mix of: orb, zorba the greek (speeding up sample), orbital (reversed sample), "don't fence me in"- loretta and oak ridge boys (ORB). The randomness of the process is often all you need.

I think the free/donation route is putting a little too much trust in people. Personally I would like the option to download individual tracks and the entire album at a discounted per track rate. In other words if there were 14 new tracks available on a "virtual album" $1 is reasonable if I only want a single track or two but I don't think I would pay $14 for the 14 tracks when I am doing the extra work of downloading & burning versus purchasing the outdated way. Also, downloadable artwork for slightly better looking homemade cd's a definite plus. Pay per track sites are springing up, but prices (apple charge about $1.00 track) seem high when compared to the actual CD price, especially when distribution, overhead and product costs are minimal. I personally though that the Badorb MP3 Download option, with the theory that money goes straight to the Artists, was a good idea. Although some on list thought it was shit! Why? If the price had been less, would it of made a difference? Also: there is alot of appeal with getting rid of the advertisers, distributes, general money siphoning middle men (especially some of the jerks in my local music store), but are some systems necessary just to keep everyone informed? Any ideas, anyone?
