I remember a bloke from the list who went 'on tour' with the Orb in the US. He went to (most of) all the shows the Orb did in 2001, and i believe he taped it all on DAT! While searching the 1.99 bins at a local Tower picked up The Creature's "Say" CD Single (Sioux 6CDX) with two Witchman mixes. Witchman's Radio Friendly Mix and Witchman's Very Long Remix. Copyright says 1999. By the by looking forward to seeing Siouxsie/Banshee's at Coachella end of April. FVLL

OT: decent jewel case creator

Dear Music Friends, Lately I've been using Nero to burn my cdrs, and although the programme works fine, the jewel case editor included is a real pain in the neck. Is there any specific cd label editing software out there which is easy in use..? Where can you get/download it, or would anyone be willing to upload some to CR's ftp..?? I love the Emu sounds and really wish I had one of those Orbit modules (SOOOOOO SWEET!). No money. I use mostly Roland stuff. I have a DR-202 (Dr. Sampler), MC-303, and SP-808EX. The 808 has a D-beam controller which you can assign to any two of six parameters and then you control them by stabbing your hands in and out of their field. It's really fun and confuses the audience. I've got a nifty thing called the FR-777 which is a true analogue monophonic synth like a mini-moog with a sequencer instead of a keyboard. It's got a BUNCH of knobs. You can take a better look at my "studio" at http://www.ifpr.homestead.com/s_studioequip.html. Click on the pictures for bigger shots. I use all this stuff in live shows as well. There is one particular sound the Orb uses in their music that I'm dying to figure out. It's somewhere between a hi-conga hit and a wood block. Unfortunately I can't find a good example at the moment so, never mind :). Does anyone know a link to a page that shows the Orb's equipment? And thanks for the response to my FFWD request. Mouse on Mars use strange instruments as Laser based things that they play with their arms and hands.
