Thank you Skip. The name Bay Runner was on the title. I have a couple of very poor pictures that show a small coachroof with two ports per side, and a narrow stern overhang like a Herreshoff boat. The mystery continues..... Titles can be misleading. The State of Oregon printed "Montgomery Ward" on the title for my M-15 and it took some wrangling with the bureaucracy to convince them the boat is a Montgomery and to correct my title. The bureaucrat who issued the title with Bay Runner might have known what to print, or maybe not. I know the Vic 18- it's a splash of a neat Canadian boat made in the 70's called the Blue Nosed One Design. For the Victoria, they cut at least a foot off the keel, reduced the rig, and put a house on it. From my view, a very amataurish job and it didn't have enough lateral area to sail very well. I just looked up the Portsmouth rating, which is 118, which makes it somewhere between an M-15 and a Potter 15, which is lousy for an 18' boat even tho the WL length is probably closer to 13 or 14". One good thing about them- they were cheep. Pretty flattering, huh. jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "doug henning" <doughenning1@gmail.com> To: "For and about Montgomery Sailboats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 01, 2013 7:45 AM Subject: Re: M_Boats: Mystery sailboat
