Has any one experimented with a folding rudder for the M17 similar to the M15 George Boatless (but not for long) We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust our sails.
Hi, George If you browse through the scanned Montgomery Owner's Newsletters I think there is a story about someone's kickup rudder. Some people have done it. I have two rudders, a normal factory one and a shortened one for when sailing places where I expect to run aground (ie, Chesapeake). The shortened one is above the bottom of the keel when pulled up but has degraded performance because of the loss of area. Tod
