The designer of the folding dinghy sent me the following note and asked that I forward it to the list. I guess he's not a subscriber. We were discussing folding dinks a month or so ago. www.woodenwidget.com Fair Tides, Rick Langer M15 #337 Bluebird ----- Original Message ----- From: Benjy To: farreach@optonline.net Sent: Monday, May 01, 2006 1:09 PM Subject: M_Boats: Folding Dinky Ahoy Rick, I was just browsing and came across your comments to the Montgomery boat forum. It is I who created the plans for the Origami dinghy. I just wanted to let you know that due to popular demand I am right at this moment building the prototype 8 foot folding version. One of the other guys on the forum said they would like a bigger one. Perhaps you would be kind enough to let him know that it won't be long. Hopefully by the end of May the plans will be polished and all the details worked out. It looks huge compared to the 6 footer! Anyway, glad you liked the dink. regards Benjy woodenwidget.com
I have been interested in sailing Tomales Bay with my 17. My experiences with her so far have been limited to inland lakes and the Delta. Anybody have experience at Tomales? Looks like tides may be an issue. Anything one should be aware of? I am an average sailor. Jeff
