Jim, Maybe you have posted this and I missed it, but is Pelican dry sailed or kept in a berth? If she is berthed is it seasonal or year round? It seem like I have removed all of the ballast in the keel. I haven't removed any from inside the cabin if ther is any there. Gentlemen and/or sailors: RE: M-15 ballast: When I bought Kestrel (#175) she had been sailed in Pacific Ocean. The former owner had a 100# lead ingot laying below deck on top of the CB cavity. It was midships as far as balance. Since you all are talking about increasing ballast to 300+, do you think this ingot would help or hinder the sailing characteristics of an M-15 sailed on fresh water lakes? Thanks. Tom
Steve Pelican is dry sailed. It has been about 1 year since the board was stuck and I mustered the courage for this repair.
