buy a Bimini, rather than make one

I've made two biminis. The first one was for an M-15, and I'm still not happy about the balance of headroom, foldability and keeping it clear of the boom. If I do it again I'll copy somebody else's design. The other one was for my Vancouver 25 and worked out much better. The canvas work is (IMHO) pretty easy, but getting the frame right is the tough part. For the actual bending I made my own tool as described in This Old Boat, but Grizzly (www.grizzly.com) now offers an affordable (note that I don't say "cheap") tube bender. Giles Morris
