Well Pilgrim had her first race of 09 last weekend.? My wife and I had fun and we learned a great deal.? First, we have a lot to learn. Second, we need practice.? Third, we need to fix a few little things to make tacking, jibing and general boat handling easier.? Lastly, Pilgrim is a great boat that gets a lot of attention.? We had a great time and with a 15kt breeze the second day we got to practice quite a bit.? The first day was not so good but the Southern Idaho Sailing gang were great sports.? The second day with a more constant wind we had a better time and were at least making the course.? By the end of the second day we felt we had learned a great deal and can't wait to go again.?
