Re: M_Boats: Advice Sought: Porta-Potti for '85 M15
Thanks again, all, for your poti-cular opinions. Also, Rik, I just realize that Bert Felton (flickasf) frequents the 'other' Monty bbs at the trailersailor site, so he probably does not have his antenna up here. He has been a good contributor of info along with many others on both sites. I visit both boards now and then and it's easy to forget who is on which. Not to reopen an old debate but another reason why personally I wish we could all come together in one place... Looking forward to meeting all who will be in Havasu in February! Fair Winds, Neil
Neil, I have been cruising on and off with my M17 for over a year and I have both a pottie and the Pett bags. On cruises longer than a week the pottie's capacity is an advantage. On the other hand, the Pett bags are great. They are very easy to dispose of and you don't have the chemicals' odours. These past few months I stopped using the pottie and just keep Pett bags in it. Pett bags are good with any bucket, too. Another device that can come in handy is a "Little John". Fair winds, Juan More M17 359

Neil, I also wanted to remind you that you can try the Pett bags with any bucket at a low cost with no installation. Just get a bucket and a pack of bags, try them out and if you don't like the system you can allways buy a Porta-potti afterwards. But I bought the potti, installed it, and now I have no use for it after having made a bigger investment and full installation with holding brackets. It's easier and cheaper to go from Pett bags to Potti than the other way round! Regards, Juan M17 359
