WrinkleBoat Intergalactic Championship Regatta Thanks
We're home safe and sound after a great weekend at the WrinkleBoat Intergalactic Championship Regatta at Lake Pleasant Arizona where, in addition to some fun sailing, we picked up our new mast and boom for our Montgomery 15. If you were thinking of going to this event sometime you really should go at your next opportunity. It is a blast! Thanks to: Gary Oberbeck for organizing the WrinkleBoat Intergalactic Championship Regatta (WICR). Arizona Yacht Club for having its annual Birthday Regatta and Leukemia Cup that allowed the WICR to go on in conjunction. The races seemed to be well run and the dinner was great. Ron Oneal for giving us some racing and Lake Pleasant pointers, being so nice about our sailing performance, and providing good company at dinner. Sal and Gail Glesser for bringing our new mast and boom from Sage Marine, helping sponsor the event, and for the very entertaining conversation. Dave Scobie for getting our new mast and boom together for us and getting it to the WICR at Lake Pleasant and for putting together the fantastic WICR awards. Mike Mann for the wonderful story about his trip to Hawaii on his Montgomery 15, Little Breeze, for signing my copy of the book, and answering a lot of questions over dinner. If you have not purchased the book A Little Breeze to the West, you need to. It is a great story that celebrates our little boats. Jerry Montgomery for creating and building the boats that give us so much pleasure, take us so many places, and bring us together. David Grah and Michele RhewBishop CaliforniaMontgomery 15 - Sky
