Hi all, Checking for any advice on attaching boom end of vang I will be adding for this season (Pajarita didn't come with any vang setup). I see some setups use a full-on bail - as for main sheet block - for the boom end block of the vang. I see some that simply use an eye strap for the boom end block of the vang. The block I have would attach fine with either. Doesn't need a bail. But could go on a bail or attach via an eye strap. Any reason I should use a full bail type of attachment, instead of just an eye strap? thanks, John S. -- John Schinnerer - M.A., Whole Systems Design -------------------------------------------- - Eco-Living - Whole Systems Design Services People - Place - Learning - Integration john@eco-living.net - 510.982.1334 http://eco-living.net http://sociocracyconsulting.com
Use a bail that thru-bolts the boom. A strapeye is likely to pull out. :: Dave Scobie On Sat, Apr 7, 2018, 2:01 PM John Schinnerer <john@eco-living.net> wrote:
