Tom, I stained some plywood and coated it with West System epoxy. Over that, I put three layers of varnish. My understanding is you have to keep UV from getting to the epoxy. I did not bother to sand between the coats of varnish, as I was applying it a smooth surface. It worked and looks good after a year. Your mileage may vary. steve Steve R. I got some new hatch boards for my M15 and Cetoled the outfacing surfaces and painted the infacing surfaces white. I think I want to coat the boards with West System epoxy to seal them up. Is it okay to coat those two existing paints with the epoxy? Thanks. t
