In regard to the Flicka cutter rig. It came stock as a sloop, a sloop rigged as a cutter, and a gaff rigged cutter. I have the sloop version. I would not recommend a cutter for a small boat. Each time you tack, you have two sets of jib sheets as well as having the jib go around the inner stay each time. (or around the free flying staysail). If you want more bells and whistles, there is always a spinnaker, and you could build yourself a small dodger, install a stern pulpit, stanchions and life lines. What ever fits your fancy.
