Any suggestions for nice lakes in Southern california for sailing a M15. Like to anchor and spent the night aboard. Jim
Hi Jim, We used to own an M15 when we lived in inland San Diego county. Lakes we sailed: Big Bear Lake- good dependable winds, very busy on weekends and holidays. Quiet on weekdays. Two public launch ramps. Our favorite. Dragging boat up the mountain requires patience, but there is plenty of lodging, so stay a while. Skinner Lake, Riverside county. Small, but quiet. No motoring above 5mph. Good ramp. Diamond Valley Lake, Riverside county. New reservoir we did not get to try, but HUGE. Hope this helps. Email off list for any more specific info. Hi Jim You might consider Long Beach Harbor. Its a large protected harbor that is protected by a several mile breakwater. (smooth as a lake). You can get a guest slip, plenty of good eaterys and shops for the wife. Its smooth and in most conditions the sailing is perfect. Fair winds Bob Fran Lebowitz wrote:
